Privacy policy

This policy explains how personal information is collected and handled through this website. It is written to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles under thePrivacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What is collected

If you complete the enquiry form, we collect the name, email address, optional phone number, preferred clinic and message you provide.

When you send an enquiry we also receive technical information about that visit, so we can understand how people find us and respond in context. This includes the website that referred you, any campaign details in the link you followed, the pages you looked at during your visit, how far you read and how long you were active, whether you had visited before, your device type, screen size, browser language, time zone and connection type, and your IP address together with the approximate city it indicates. IP based location is general only and does not identify your address.

None of this is collected while you simply browse. It is assembled in your own browser and sent only at the moment you choose to submit the form.

Clinical information is not collected through this website. Your health history is discussed and recorded at your appointment, and is held under the separate obligations that apply to health records.

How it is used

Enquiry details are used solely to respond to your enquiry. They are not sold, and they are not used for marketing unless you separately ask to hear from us.

Third parties

Appointments are handled by Timely, which operates its own privacy policy. This website is hosted by Vercel. Enquiries are delivered through n8n and Resend, and the approximate location described above is looked up through ipapi.co. Fonts are served by Google Fonts. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, which records pages viewed and general device and location information. Each of these operates its own privacy policy.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. Your light or dark theme preference, and the visit details described above, are held in your own browser using local and session storage. The visit details leave your browser only if you submit the enquiry form. Clearing your browser data removes all of it.

Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Emailhello@modernaesthetic.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
