Your first appointment
What happens, step by step.
A first appointment is a structured conversation. It gives you time to ask questions, understand the process and consider the information before deciding what comes next.
Consultation
We begin by talking about what you have noticed, what you would like to discuss and what matters to you. You can arrive with a specific concern or simply a question.
Assessment
We review your relevant health history, medications, allergies, previous procedures and the area or concern you would like assessed.
Discussion
Where appropriate, we explain the available options, what is involved, recovery considerations, costs and risks. We may also recommend waiting or taking a different approach.
Review
There is time to ask questions and consider the information. You do not need to proceed with a procedure at your first appointment.
Helpful to have
What to bring.
You do not need to prepare extensively. A few details can make the conversation clearer.
